This year Medway hosted the 95th annual Thanksgiving day game against neighboring town, Millis. This has been an ongoing rivalry between these two towns, as the record of this special game is 52-37-5 with Medway leading the way. Medway came out strong right out of the gates–as in the opening drive of the game Logan Keaney took one long for a 58-yard touchdown. Medway never looked back and after recovering an onside kick leading to several scores, they were 27-0 at halftime. Millis would eventually find the endzone late in the 3rd quarter making it a score of 34-6. With a big lead of 41-6 late in the 4th, Medway head coach Ted Rigney would begin to sub out the seniors one last time, each one getting cheers from the sideline as they walked over. The final score of the 95th annual Thanksgiving day game was 48-6, Medway now making the record 53-37-5. After the game, the teams lined up at midfield where they awaited the trophy ceremony, where they handed out a MVP of the game trophy, and a big trophy for the winning team. Last year’s MVP Johnny Farrell made his way out to the logo where he would hand out this year’s MVP. This year’s Thanksgiving day MVP was Logan Keaney, with 2 running touchdowns, and 2 passing touchdowns, along with the 48-6 victory. With this win, Medway capped off another winning season, ending just above .500 with a record of 6-5.
