Starting out of a love for the craft, high school student Addy Booth has grown her small business and become a well-known nail artist in the greater Medway area, having at least 60 clients, most of whom regularly return. When Addy first started, her friends were her first clients but soon word got around and Addy found herself busy in her new venture.
Originally, Addy created simple but beautiful nails before eventually acquiring more specialized products- in this case either Gel-X or acrylics- for more complicated designs. Addy has humbly mentioned how she wouldn’t consider herself an expert at any design, yet she deems herself quite talented when it comes to making 3D flowers and sculptures, french tips, portraits, and animal prints. Her beautiful work, however, speaks for itself. When it comes to skill, Addy gracefully executes each request provided by her clients which results in a set of nails that catches everyone’s eyes.

As an entrepreneur, Addy has tips for other people with an interest in building a small business saying “…don’t give up your peace for others, don’t let people walk over you, know your worth and skill,” as she believes self-confidence is key in the formation of a successful small business. She also explained how creating a schedule is incredibly useful and important when starting out– “…in order to work efficiently, you need downtime,” she says. She’s mentioned how sometimes it was hard for her to balance her school work with meeting clients; however, she remains determined, as she said “If you really love it, don’t give up.”
Charging an average price of $50-$70 per set (depending on the complexity of the design and what products were used), Addy’s business has granted her new opportunities — “the business has given me new friendships, social skills, and life experiences along with a good start to my savings.”

So book an appointment, bring a friend, and let Addy create the nails you’ve envisioned because although others may do it, nobody does it like Addy.
