This past weekend the Medway Varsity Cheerleading team won States for the second time! Every athlete worked extremely hard all season practicing their stunts, tumbling, and routine until everything was nearly perfect. Their work ethic paid off when they performed a strong routine this past Sunday, March 8, at Worcester State. The team was extremely proud to celebrate this win and especially considering this is the final season for their seniors– Adelle McLaughlin, Eve Peristere, Jill Bartel, and Olivia Olynciw. The moment they were announced as champions again, the team was cheered and applauded by the whole stadium. Junior flyer, Laney Brynczka stated the feeling was “ethereal and unlike anything she had ever experienced before” and she attributed “her coaching staff and her team’s hard work and dedication.” MHSVC is looking forward to competing at the New England championship on Saturday, March 21, also at Worcester State.

They are hoping to bring home a first place title as New England’s best Division Three team for another season.
