On Saturday,November 2nd, Medway High School put on their annual Fall play. This year’s production was Alice in Wonderland. The narrative follows Alice in the strange world she discovers, full of mysteries and strangeness, leading to a climactic scene where Alice has to defend the White Rabbit in trial against the Queen of Hearts. The classic tale ends with Alice’s realization that it was all a dream. Jules Antonino, as Alice, put on an exciting performance, convincing everyone that they were really there with her. Side characters, such as White Rabbit (Kaitlyn D’Souza), the King of Hearts (Auggie Nassiff), and the Queen of Hearts (Allyson Fagan) all gave excellent performances, each bolstering the excellence of the show itself. The sets were interactive and engaging. Costume design was innovative too, with the makeup and outfits all complimenting the characters’ personas. Asking the cast, the overall thoughts were that the play went very well. They enjoyed working with everyone and creating this show. With such a great performance being put out, there are high expectations for the musical, Newsies, coming up in the Spring.
