It has been quite a few weeks for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast, with season 4 of their show recently being released. But, the news that has surfaced in the past week about a few of the show’s stars really puts a pause on any further seasons for now. Last week it came out that the “Leader of Momtok,” Taylor Frankie Paul had an ALLEGED domestic violence incident involving her ex-boyfriend, (and father of her third child) Dakota Mortensen, which caused season 5 of filming to be paused. A few days after that, Dakota filed a restraining order against Taylor and demanded sole custody of their child, Ever True. At the same time that this was going on, TMZ released a video showing another domestic violence incident between Taylor and Dakota that occurred in 2023. This video shows Taylor hitting and kicking Dakota; when Dakota tries to walk away it shows Taylor throwing chairs at him. One of the chairs that Taylor threw ends up hitting one of her other children. The father of that child said he did not know about this and is now trying to get sole custody of Taylor’s oldest two children. Taylor did plead guilty to that happening and was taken into custody and was given three years of probation.
No one knows how this video came out but fans are guessing that it was released by Dakota to put an end to all of Taylor’s fame. The video came out just days before the Bachelorette season was supposed to premier on ABC as Taylor was slated to be the Bachelorette. ABC decided to cancel Taylor’s whole season as a result of the bad press and allegations surrounding the starring role.
Many of the other moms on Mormon Wives recently spoke out against Taylor and her actions, and are calling for Taylor to take a break from filming until the time is right for her mentally and physically. The other members of MomTok know that they do not need Taylor and right now. Taylor is causing brand deals to turn away which impacts how much money they make.
It has not been all sunshine and rainbows for the other moms either in the past month. Both Mikayla Matthews and Jessi Draper are getting divorced from their husbands. Jessi’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, had also recently filed a restraining order against Jessi but many fans are just speculating it is because Jordan found a hole in their prenup and is trying to get the most money that he can from her. All the woman of the show have had a lot of fame in two years but it has caused a lot of drama and hardships. The other woman from the show are out in the world getting other deals and making a good life for themselves but all of them are worried about what impact Taylor’s actions will have on their future. More information is set to come in the near future, which leaves fans with the question, will MomTok be able to survive this?
