Artist’s Statement
I like swirls, fun textures, and small details in my art for people to find. Using flat color and cell shading has become boring to me while textures add lots of appeal and draw to an image! I hope people are able to appreciate the colors, tones, and values in my pieces. I put all of my digital art on one layer. I used to do it on multiple layers,, but have changed to working on a single layer, which I find easier! I am motivated to continue to work on my details and proportions. I don’t feel that my art looks complete when the proportions are off. My sketches are often quick and then I go back into my piece to rework it and adjust things. Each piece typically takes 4-5 hours to complete.
