Ingredients
- 1 cup softened unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ TSP salt
- 2 eggs
- TSP vanilla extract
- ¼ TSP almond extract (optional)
- 3 cups of flour

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together
- Add eggs and extracts to bowl (room temperature eggs work best)
- Add flour and salt into bowl, and mix until combined
- Refrigerate dough until firm (30 minutes)
- Roll out until ¼ inch thick (using a little flour on your rolling pin helps)
- Cut out shapes
- Freeze cut-out cookie dough for 5 minutes
- Bake for 8-10 minutes
- Cool and decorate as desired
