We all know people love chocolate, especially milk chocolate but there are so many different brands and flavors to choose from. So we took some of the most popular milk chocolates on the market and invited a group of students and staff to participate in a blindfolded taste test. We blindfolded twelve students and three teachers and had them try five different brands of milk chocolate, rating each on the four most important aspects of chocolate: taste, texture, sweetness, and overall satisfaction. After trying each chocolate, we asked them to rank it on a scale of one through five.
After taking a look at everyone’s rankings, we were surprised to see how everyone had very different tastes in chocolate. Lindt Milk Chocolate came in first place with the best rankings overall. Tasters loved the velvety texture and rich chocolatey taste. Hershey’s and Ritter Sport were tied for overall satisfaction. Cadbury’s did not do well in the taste category but got top points for texture. Perugina, the Italian brand chocolate, landed in last place for its lack of sweetness and taste.
Milk Chocolate is a perfect heartfelt gift that doesn’t break the bank. With the holidays coming up, consider giving your favorite people some milk chocolate. Finally, we would like to thank all the students and staff members who showed up to help us support the newspaper club and make this news article possible. This event was super successful and we hope to do something very similar to this soon.
