The Mustangs began the season 2-0 after a hard-fought game against Pentucket Regional, ending with a score of 7-0, and took their talents down across the Bourne Bridge to take on the Falmouth Clippers. This was a big game for the Clippers as it was their senior night celebrating the hard work and efforts of the 23 seniors they had on their roster.
Medway started this game strong with an early 14-0 lead in the second quarter after Senior Captain Quarterback, Garret O’Mara, found Junior Wide Receiver, Logan Keaney, twice downfield, both accounting for touchdowns. Falmouth put some points on the board right before the half making the game 14-6 at halftime. Senior John Farrell had a great game with 100+ yards on the ground after running for 100+ yards and a touchdown in the previous game against Pentucket. In the second half, both teams showed great defensive efforts as no points were put on the board by either team. With Middle Linebackers Senior Matt Wilde and Junior Dylan Costa holding the defense strong in the middle, the Mustangs were able to make great defensive stops, even having two interceptions, one by Safety, Logan Keaney, and another by Junior Cornerback James Kerls. Junior Linebacker, Christian Cautilli, and Senior Captain, Evan Sklar, coming off the edge both flew around the field, allowing them to make great defensive plays on the ball. Medway brought home another victory, bringing them to a 3-0 record.
