With the new school year underway, the 2025-2026 sports season has officially begun for the Medway Mustangs. After an exciting fall season last year, Medway’s teams are up and ready to do it again.
The Girls Field Hockey team is off to a solid 3-2 start, led by captains Bella Cortis, Ava Cortis, and Haley Gales. Coming off a Final Four appearance last season, the team is looking to make another strong run this year. The Girls Volleyball team is led by captains Olivia Klaus, Charlotte George, and Emma Copeland and has started the season 2-5. Despite the tough start, the girls are looking to turn it all around and lead the team to success. The Girls Varsity Soccer team may have lost many seniors, but they return with a talented group of girls. Captains Molly Johnson, Eva Miranda, Regan Longval, and Ella Ruggeri are leading the team to a 3-3 start as they begin their run in the TVL Large.
On the boys’ side, the Boys Varsity Soccer team also saw many seniors graduate. This year, captains Alex Stott, Connor Levasseur, Kevin Moreau, and Pedro Brisola are stepping up as leaders. The team currently holds a 1-5-1 record and looks to improve as the season continues. The Varsity Golf team is hoping to get another chance in the state tournament after a strong performance last season. With a 4-4 record so far, the team is led by captains Jason Drake, Tommy Vallante, and Micheal Cortis. The Football team had an impressive season last year, finishing 8-3 and making the playoffs. They’re aiming for more success this year, despite graduating several seniors. The team returns many key players and is led by captains Logan Keaney, Jacob White, Dylan Costa, and Aidan Tkowski. They currently have a record of 1-1.
