On March 7th 2025, Medway High School premiered their annual musical, Newsies. The Newsie cast performed an array of songs, dancing, and unique characters. The story follows Jack Kelly, played by 2025 senior Nora Keavany, as he fights for fair wages against tyrannical newspaper publisher, Joseph Pulitzer played by sophomore student, Aidan Christie. Jack and his fellow Newsies explore themes of government corruption, loyalty, and unity in numbers. As they grow from boys to men, their tight bond is strengthened, as emphasized by the natural acting of the cast. As the show has been in production since November 2024, opening night was a big moment for actors Kaitlyn McMahon, Ruby Dwyer, and Haley Leger, freshman who nailed lead roles as Katherine, Les, and Davey respectively.
